The 6800-18 Aquatic Measurement Room is a new measurement room of the LI-6800 Advanced Photosynthesis Fluorescence Measurement System, designed specifically for measuring steady-state carbon assimilation and chlorophyll fluorescence of algal suspensions and other samples. 6800-18 further expands the measurement range of LI-6800 samples.
The LI-6800 is a trusted instrument by top scientists worldwide for measuring carbon assimilation and chlorophyll fluorescence in terrestrial plant photosynthesis. LI-6800 is equipped with high-precision CO2And H2The O analyzer and automatic control system are widely used in exploring cutting-edge scientific aspects of photosynthetic physiology.
The 6800-18 Aquatic Measurement Laboratory has expanded its measurement capabilities to aquatic samples, allowing researchers to explore the scientific issues of photosynthesis in algal suspensions.
Working principle
The traditional method for measuring algal photosynthesis is based on the variation of dissolved oxygen concentration over time. Unlike it, LI-6800 is an open, steady-state gas exchange measurement system. During the measurement process, CO enters the chamber2And O2Maintain a constant concentration and other environmental factors.
The analyzer measures CO in the airflow entering and leaving the measurement room2And H2The concentration of O is used to calculate the photocatalytic rate of the liquid sample by calculating the concentration difference of the gas flow material.
After measuring the suspension sample as cell density, mass, or chlorophyll content, the photosynthetic carbon assimilation rate of the sample can be determined using µ mol CO2cell-1s-1、 µmol CO2mg-1s-1And µ mol CO2µg-1s-1To express.
At the same time, 6800-18 also used pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) technology to measure the chlorophyll fluorescence of the sample. By integrating the measurement results from both aspects, obtain more comprehensive information on photosynthesis in the sample.
